Green Lantern: First Flight (2009)

Green Lantern: First Flight (2009) — Meh.  It was good but the occasional “crap” “ass” and “damn” doesn’t really cover that this is designed for younger audience.  They’re trying to have their cake and eat it too with these movies (I never entirely understood that expression; if you have cake why the fuck wouldn’t you eat it?).  They want to appeal to the older comics fans but they still want to be family friendly.  The PG-13 rating isn’t really fooling anyone.  Anyway it was good.  Kind of a “Training Day” spin on the Green Lantern/Sinestro relationship.  Voice acting is great (like it always is with these movies).  I still say the best of the DC stand-alone direct-to-disc movies is Justice League: The New Frontier, but this one ain’t bad.  So yeah…
