Cashback (2006)

Cashback (2006) — Cashback is a neat little British film about a guy (Sean Biggerstaff, the guy who taught Harry Potter how to play Quidditch) who develops insomnia after breaking up with his girlfriend and this somehow leads to the ability to freeze time. Being an art student he uses this time-freezing power to take women’s clothes off and draw them naked. Yes, the premise is pretty thin but due to a good sense of humor and some nifty camera tricks, Cashback is actually quite entertaining. I am rather curious to see what else director Sean Ellis has done as he seems to have some skill behind the camera. There are a couple of simple scene transitions in this movie that I just dug a lot. Plus it made me laugh, which is all you can really ask from a comedy.
