Spider-Man (2002) – Okay, let me start by saying that fuckin’ hate fuckin’ spiders. They terrify the fuck out of me. Also I curse even more than I already fuckin’ do (which is a lot) when talking about the evil little fuckers. That being said, I’ve always liked Spider-Man. Go figure. It probably has a … Continue reading →

So Halloween is upon us and this year it occurred to me that I had only seen half of the Halloween films. I decided to rectify that this year. Halloween (1978) You know I kind of go back and forth on Halloween. I last saw it in 2009 and thought that while good it was … Continue reading →

The Kid Stays in the Picture (2002) – Is The Kid Stays in the Picture based on Robert Evans’ autobiography of the same name? You betcha. Does Evans narrate this documentary himself? Oh yeah, he does. Is my asking and answering rhetorical questions in a cheap imitation of Evans’ style starting to get annoying? You … Continue reading →

Punch-Drunk Love (2002) — Adam Sandler plays a socially dysfunctional man with occasional outbursts of anger who successfully courts a woman too attractive for him. When phrased that way, it sounds like most Adam Sandler movies. Indeed Punch-Drunk Love was written for Sandler, but the person doing the writing was Paul Thomas Anderson so this … Continue reading →

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) — So the words I used in my review of Fellowship still apply: epic and awesome. This movie lacks both exposition and resolution and still manages to be riveting for about four hours (again, extended edition because why watch the shorter ones?). I also majorly dig … Continue reading →

L’Auberge Espagnole (2002) — A good movie about a French guy who doesn’t have his life together and goes to Spain where he still doesn’t have his life together but it’s entertaining to watch.
